Cannot download a Microsoft Office – Microsoft Community

 

I tried to install my Office and the problem I beleive is that I imput my access code too many times because it kept not letting me use the program. So for a while I was just saying next without entering the code and using the program. However when I returned from vacation the product was no longer allowing me to open any part of it.

I have an access code but I beleive it has been messed up somehow and I either need to reset it or be issued a new access code. Please help! The Retail version of Office Home and Studend allows 3 concurrent installs. AFIK, you have not reached that limit yet. That can cause this activation problem.

Try running an application as admin in Win7 even if you are logged in as admin, the installation program does not get full Admin access until you RunAs it instructions below and try doing an activation instructions in previous post. Sometimes windows mistakenly does not give you appropriate access rights in the registry. Running As Admin often solves that problem. Your problem is probably with the registry. There is an error where your userid is not being allowed to update the activation information.

If all of this fails, then you will have to go back to the phone activation process instructions posted in my first response. If you can’t understand them, ask for a supervisor.
